As Advocates, we stand with the nation in commemorating National Women’s Month 2026, a reminder that 128 years after independence, the work of restoring women’s power and reclaiming our pre-colonial values of gender balance continues. Led by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), this year’s celebration emphasizes shared responsibility, collective leadership, and inclusive action toward a truly equitable society.
Anchored on the campaign “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society” and the sub-theme “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”, the celebration highlights women’s leadership as deeply rooted in Filipino identity, guided by wisdom, empathy, and care for the community. These values remain relevant as we educate and empower the next generation of leaders.
As the Philippines takes on a leadership role in ASEAN in 2026, this year’s National Women’s Month also affirms the vital role of women in shaping inclusive governance, peacebuilding, and sustainable development.
The Advocati joins this call to action: to recognize women’s contributions, amplify their voices, and nurture a culture of equality where everyone has a role to play.
